"help, i need somebody"

today we graced carnforth with our charming presence. audrey & emma & i went to give ourselves a tour of capernwray. we aimed to leave the house around 1:00 & we left at 1:40 on the dot. right on time, according to my clock. carnforth is a little less than an hour away so, two hours later, we arrived safe & sound. why did a one hour drive take two hours, you may ask? well, there was an accident :( on the motorway {yes, motorway} & we had to take the long way. it was a nice drive though. & really, going anywhere around here fascinates me. & there was a beatles song marathon on the radio. how very appropriate. the song 'help' came on & i was reminded of my mom's advice to me- ask for help when you need it instead of trying to manage everything alone out of the fear of burdening others. good advice, i say. audrey asked if i thought i'd like to take a trip to liverpool & go to the beatles museum. i calmy replied, "YES." then, "nelson would be so jealous..."

...however, the staircases remained stationary.

i didn't take many pictures seeing as it was so rainy & wet & i was handling an umbrella outside & the lighting was bad inside. we just had a quick look-see & didn't stay long. on the way back, we stopped by to see audrey's parents {who were very, very sweet} & picked up chinese take-away. {yes, take-away} then we spent the rest of the night on the couch. how is it that long drives can be so tiring? emma & i watched footloose. what a terrific movie. & such great dancing. can high school proms these days please be cheesy & not trashy? please?
